Wow, we've had a record response to our holidays, looks like there could be a few more Brits in Åre this summer. It's always good to get more British riders over here and there's no better time than now as Åre is still a quiet, peacefull and commercially untouched village during the summer. Come over and check it out. Big news this month is the arrival of the megavalanche series to Åre from the 6th-7th September. Not sure where the track's going to be yet but we have so many excellent trails you can link together it's bound to be killer. Accommodation's going to be tight so book early to avoid dissapointment.

Hurrah, we've got the prices for the self catering options this year set. We are still having problems with the luxury option as the hotel we normally use is closing for a massive refurbishment this summer. Here at Dreamride Holidays we take great pride in providing the best quality at the best price. We carefully check all accommodation and services to make sure it matches up to our high standards and makes your holiday the best it can be. This can take time, so bear with us. It's worth the wait.

New for this year is the use of Swedish Kronor in our prices. We've kept our prices the same (and sometimes cheaper) than last years. Unfortunately, due to the strong Kronor (or weak pound - don't ask us which, we're mountainbikers not economics experts) the exchange rate has been going wild. This makes it impossible for us to make a quote in pounds and keep the end prices for you as low as possible. We hope you understand.

February 2008

Well, they say time flies when you're having fun, so February must have been excellent as it has flown by. We've had one of the best seasons snow-wise we've ever seen and have got record ammounts of snowboarding in. Happy days. The big February news being that Dave and John, organisers of the excellent Mayhem Festival here in Åre got in contact to say they've set the dates for this years event. If you fancy coming out for a week of riding, partying, competitions and a chance to hang out with pro riders then book up a holiday with us for the 4th-10th August. Book early as it's a popular time and accommodation will run out.

A couple of the lower trails should start defrosting soon and this year a lift is opening for the locals to get some early riding in at the weekends in May. Can't wait. Let's hope the new Gamblers arrive soon so we can build them up in time....... That's all for now, more updates as we get them, keep checking back on the site.

Happy New Year everybody. 2007 was a great year for Dreamrideholidays. As well as being our first (except for the pro riders and journalists invited over in 2006) it proved popular with downhillers and freeriders from the UK looking for a new destination to ride bikes, experience world class riding and all within a few hours of home. A big thanks to all who came over - we look forward to seeing you again this year.

We're staying with Scott bikes again this year and are looking forward to riding the new Gamblers. We've heard good things. On the trail front, a new freeride trail was started at the end of last season with the help of some of Canada's best freeriders who were flown in to help with the design. It has jumps the size of houses (well our house anyway) and matching oversized berms. It should be amazing and looks to be completed by the start of the season. Can't wait. The bike park is employing even more trail builders this year to keep the existing trails in good shape.

The season (and our holiday packages) kicks off on the 20th June this year and will be running until the 28th September. Prices for the 2008 holidays have not been set yet but we've left the 2007 prices up on the site to give you a rough idea. As usual, fire over any questions and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Keep checking back for any updates, we'll post the new info as we get it.
